Photoshop advice on resolution?

I'm making 8.5x11 fliers in photoshop, what resolution would be best for a good quality flier?

It depends on your printing process, really.

I always use 300 dpi or higher for quality imaging, but depending on the specific requirements of your project you could go down as low as 75 dpi.

If it's all text and clip-art, 100 - 150 dpi is probably fine. If you need photo-quality resolution anywhere on the flyer use at least 200 dpi.
