Photoshop Outlining Help!!!!!!!!!!?

Ok i have Photoshop cs2, and cs3!

so ok

i need to learn a couple of things. If you can teach me how to do any of the 3, that will be awesome!

1. How to outline text with the little "dashes or slashes" or whatever the name is. And then go over it with another outline.

2. How to make a background for signs, looks like these backgrounds, but i want to make my own. I also have a brush for this design already.

3. How to outline the background, using those little slashes as well. JUST like this picture!

1) download some similar pattern, if you don't have it already

this ones should fit perfectly and load them

once you've done this select your text and go to: Layer %26gt;%26gt; Layer Style %26gt;%26gt; Border

Select the size you prefer, and then click below, where you see "color" and instead of that choose pattern.

now you should just choose the pattern you prefer ^^

2) i have no idea if CS2 or 3 offer some special methods for doing this.i suppose you should select them one by one and while selected, go to Edit %26gt;%26gt; Fill Pattern

3) for this you should first "clean" the background using or the select tool , if you have a white background (magnetic lasso tool)

otherwise you can use the pen tool, just designing around the figures, making out the selection out of this,

then invert selection and put the background you prefer

for the slashes is the same method as first question.

for the pink border use the outer glow (always in layers9 putting the extension to 100%
