How do you make files smaller on photoshop. No matter what i do they're still to big!!

Make sure your dpi is as low as you can get away with. Make sure the file is flattened. If you're saving a JPEG, lower the quality if you can. If you're saving the file for the web, use the Save For Web function. It would be helpful to have more info such as the purpose of the file and what you've tried so far.

Are you saying the Photoshop format or image files format such as .gif, .jpeg, .png.
If its the photoshop format im afraid not.
lets say for example if you are creating a wallpaper out of many image you took on ur digital camera and each photo is 1mb+, and with all your editing here and there, the photoshop format has to store all these editing and modifications and therefore adds up to a much larger size.
